Eva Mos
Eva Mos completed a BA in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences, an MSc in Policy Analyses and Organizations, and a Research MSc in Social Sciences (cum laude). Before starting this PhD project, she worked as a junior lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the University of Amsterdam.
Her main interest lies in understanding governance transitions – in particular the transition toward what has been called the ‘post-welfare’ state. She questions how this process works out concretely in particular societal contexts. In her former research, she addressed the link between post-welfarism and immigration – examining how the skills and capacities of refugees are understood in an era of ‘activation’ and ‘work first’. For her current PhD project, she examines the role of digitally mediated care platforms in the context of changing welfare states. In her free time she enjoys playing cello in several orchestras and with friends.
